Despite all the amenities and privileges our generation grew up with, many young people in high-income countries are far from being care-free and awaiting a glorious future.
With my images I comment on the perspectives, hopes, and fears that my friends from all over Europe shared with me during my research process. My work explores the tensions between nostalgic longings for carefree times and apocalyptic expectations.
Where we are coming from shapes how we look ahead. For the exhibition, I asked my friends and visitors to stop for a moment and share their perspectives about the future with a picture of their feet.
